Planning your care
We know many people want to understand when they may start to notice improvement and how many appointments they might need.
After your assessment, we will discuss what may be realistic and, where possible, provide an individual guide based on your condition, goals and response to care. Recovery varies from person to person, so this is guidance rather than a guaranteed timeframe, and we will update it as you progress.
We review your response regularly. If, after the first two or three sessions, there has been no meaningful improvement in everyday function, we will reassess the plan rather than simply continue the same approach. This review point is not a promise that every condition should improve within three sessions.
Where clinically appropriate, and with your consent, we may recommend review by your GP or treating specialist, liaise with them about your care, or discuss whether imaging could provide useful information.
Post-operative rehabilitation
Our clinic has longstanding experience supporting rehabilitation after knee, hip and shoulder joint replacement, spinal surgery, ACL reconstruction, fracture repair and other orthopaedic procedures.
With your consent, we can communicate with your treating surgeon and follow any post-operative protocol they provide, adjusting rehabilitation to your stage of healing, goals and clinical progress. The aim may be a planned return to everyday activities, pre-injury function or sport; individual outcomes and timeframes vary.
Funding pathways
Eligible patients may be referred by their GP for up to five individual allied health services in total per calendar year under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, often still called Medicare EPC. Bring your referral and Medicare card. A gap fee may apply.
For NSW workers compensation claims, bring your claim number, insurer details, current Certificate of Capacity and any written treatment approval. Approval requirements vary, so contact the clinic before your first appointment.
For NSW motor accident claims, bring your claim or reference number, insurer details and any written treatment approval. Requirements vary between claims, so contact the clinic before your first appointment.
Self-managed and plan-managed participants may have different booking and invoicing requirements. NDIA-managed supports generally require a registered provider. Contact the clinic before booking so we can confirm whether we can provide the requested service and explain the current billing arrangements.
Funding, approval and billing requirements can change. Please contact the clinic and confirm the current requirements before your first funded appointment.
A note on safety
Call the clinic and tell us what is happening. We can help you decide whether to book or seek another type of care.
For urgent or severe symptoms, sudden weakness, chest pain, breathing difficulty or a medical emergency, call Triple Zero (000) or seek urgent medical attention.
Book or call
Already attending for the same condition? You can book a follow-up online. If you are new to the clinic, complete the Nookal intake form; this does not confirm an appointment, and reception will contact you. Existing patients with a new injury or condition should call or email reception for an initial assessment.
