Appointments and booking

Booking and choosing an appointment.

Which online booking option should I use?
If you are returning for a follow-up for the same condition, use the returning-patient pathway. If you have never attended the clinic, complete the new-patient Nookal intake form. Existing patients with a new injury or condition should call (02) 9740-5716 or email belmorephysio@gmail.com so reception can arrange an initial assessment.
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
A referral is generally not required for a private physiotherapy appointment. Medicare chronic condition referrals, Workers Compensation, CTP, DVA and some other funded appointments have their own referral or approval requirements. Please contact reception before booking funded care.
What if I have not attended for a long time?
If you have attended before and the problem is new, has changed substantially or you are unsure which appointment type applies, call (02) 9740-5716 or email belmorephysio@gmail.com. Reception can arrange enough time for an appropriate initial assessment.
Is my information private when I use Nookal?
Yes. Nookal is our online booking platform and provides the digital intake form on this website. Information you enter will be treated by Belmore Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Centre as private and confidential patient information. Read our clinic Privacy Policy and Nookal’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
How long is an appointment?
Appointment length depends on whether you need an initial assessment, follow-up care or remedial massage. Reception can confirm the current duration when your appointment is arranged.
Can I see another physiotherapist if mine is unavailable?
Yes. Our physiotherapists work together, so reception can help arrange another suitable practitioner if yours is unavailable. The practitioner can review your clinic record and receive a clinical handover where needed.
Does the clinic have multilingual staff?
Some members of our team speak Greek, Arabic, Italian and Spanish. Mention your language preference when booking and reception can tell you who is available.
How can I send a message to my practitioner?
Call (02) 9740-5716 or email belmorephysio@gmail.com. Reception can pass on a non-urgent clinical message. For urgent or severe symptoms, seek appropriate urgent medical care rather than waiting for an email response.

Preparing for your visit

What to bring and how to prepare.

What should I wear?
Choose comfortable clothing that allows you to move and gives suitable access to the area being assessed. Shorts or a singlet can be useful. Your physiotherapist will discuss privacy and draping options with you.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring any relevant referral, reports, scan results, medication information and details of previous treatment. For funded care, also bring your Medicare card, claim or participant number, insurer or plan-manager details and written approval where applicable.
Will I need an X-ray, ultrasound or MRI?
Imaging is not required for every presentation. Your physiotherapist will consider your history and assessment, explain whether further medical review or imaging may provide useful information, and can liaise with your GP or treating specialist with your consent.
What if I am unwell or cannot attend?
Contact reception as early as you can so the team can explain the clinic’s current cancellation arrangements and help you reschedule where appropriate.

Fees and funded care

Fees and funding requirements.

How much will my appointment cost?
Fees depend on the appointment type and duration. Reception can confirm the current fee before your booking is finalised, and the external online booking platform may also display the applicable fee during the booking process.
Can I claim through private health insurance?
Your rebate depends on your insurer, policy and available extras cover. Contact your health fund for an accurate estimate and ask reception whether on-the-spot claiming is available for your appointment.
Can Medicare help cover physiotherapy?
If your GP decides you are eligible, they may refer you under a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan, often still called Medicare EPC. Medicare benefits may be available for up to five individual allied health services in total per calendar year, shared across eligible allied health professions. A gap fee may apply.
What do I need for Workers Compensation, CTP or NDIS care?
Requirements depend on the funding pathway and individual approval. Review the funding information on our Services page, then contact reception before your first appointment so documents and billing arrangements can be checked.

Book or call

Still have a question?

Already attending for the same condition? You can book a follow-up online. If you are new to the clinic, complete the Nookal intake form; this does not confirm an appointment, and reception will contact you. Existing patients with a new injury or condition should call or email reception for an initial assessment.
